GIDIFA Construction Programs

  •

The Global Infrastructure, Development and International Finance Agency uses a wide array of state-of-the-art and innovative Construction Technologies for a great many purposes. Among the most important considerations are safe and secure housing. However, the necessities of life do not stop there. Commercial construction, industrial scale construction and even construction for disaster mitigation and relief are all considered when looking at potential vendors and contractors for the Global Infrastructure, Development and International Finance Agency.

There are constantly new and improved construction technologies being introduced into the market these days. Sadly … perhaps even tragically, not all of these will ever get enough funding to begin their business, much less to expand it to the point of growth and expansion. GIDIFA has a wide range of funding options available for these construction companies, from no-payment loans to grants to joint ventures, equity investments and even simple capital investments. In this way, any new and innovative construction technologies that are developed, can be fully funded and brought to the market where ideally, they will benefit the entirety of humankind either directly or indirectly.

Safe and Secure housing is definitely a matter of interest to GIDIFA given the vast numbers of people around the globe who lack even the most basic of necessities, not to mention the many more who are homeless and do not even have the starting point for a better future that even a simple, safe home would provide. The home is a starting point for the road to recovery and beginning the necessary processes to break the chains of poverty that are enslaving so many of the people of the world. Still, despite all of the best intentions, it is not possible … wise or even realistic to believe that the formerly homeless and other underclass citizens can just be dumped into new homes, left to their own devices and expected to magically transform into productive, contributing members of society. For them to have any real opportunity to succeed, they are also going to need training and opportunities.

With the Incorporation of Corporate Entities into the community, the for-profit industries will provide vocational and “real-world” training for the individuals. Not only will they have the opportunity to learn new skills but also be able to work and get paid for their efforts. (Remember, the Corporate Entities within the Integrated Community Developments will not be focused solely on profits, though most will still be lucrative business interests for the purposes of the financial sustainability of the community and the actual opportunity for the individuals working there) Before any of this process can take place however, it is going to be necessary to build the infrastructure first. While the entire physical (or corporeal) infrastructure is important, none of it is going to be possible without the construction of all of the new buildings that need to be in place before such a time as the community can function on its own.

Before any of these communities can be fully established and up and running, they are going to have to be built,. In most cases, this will mean going in and building from the ground up so that everything that is built will meet the very exacting demands of GIDIFA. Initially, the excavation process will happen so that the more intricate and detailed inner-workings of the community can be built. These will include the infrastructure necessary for the piping of natural gas that is generated naturally through the re-utilization of organic waste materials. The processes for water treatment including the construction of sewers and waterways will have to take place so that they waste water can be reutilized before it is again naturally distilled and purified and put back into the ecological system. What “grid” that does exist will have to be put in underground utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to prevent damage or interference during extreme weather conditions or during earthquakes. The actual grid itself will be somewhat limited as most of the units will be self-contained, all-but eliminating the need for a system that has already proven itself time and again to be less than sustainable, much less ideal. All of this work is going to require construction in one form or another. Most of this construction work will serve to provide the first houses for the former underclass citizens in addition to providing them with paid opportunities for work skills that they will be able to use wherever they go. Still, that may not be enough, even when everything else is said and done.

Many of the new, innovative and technologically advanced construction techniques that are utilized by GIDIFA will focus on both Disaster Mitigation and Disaster Relief. Construction anywhere along the Pacific Ring of Fire anywhere from Alaska to Southeast Asia will be required to stand up to more different types of calamities than almost anywhere else in the world. In these locations, volcanoes, earthquakes, mudslides, typhoons and other severe weather conditions will put even the most advanced construction techniques through their paces. Not only will these construction methods focus on more safe and secure housing and commercial construction techniques, but also the utilization of these innovative and advanced construction techniques can be used in many cases for the purposes of advanced design and construction of barriers against major loss of property or life in the case of otherwise devastating events.

In the case of mudslides and tsunamis, “simple” but decorative baffles can be built to redirect the flow of the event and turn its own force against itself in order to slow down and divert any disasters before they get to any population centers. While these techniques are not going to prevent major disasters on their own, they are an integral portion of the overall plan to mitigate the damages and losses associated with Natural Disasters and perhaps most importantly, to greatly reduce the human toll of these disasters and events. Earthquakes also present unique challenges especially in the construction of high-rise and other larger, commercial buildings. Tornadoes are unique in their ability to cause damage in ways not fully understood by people who have not experienced them first hand. Still, there are a great many construction techniques that can greatly reduce the loss even under such intense pressures as those found with tornadoes. In reality, there are a great many new and innovative techniques coming out all of the time to combat the effects, impact and financial and human tolls exacted during natural (and other) disasters.
