Global Infrastructure, Development & International Finance Agency

The Global Infrastructure, Development and International Finance Agency is one of the many Specialized Agencies of the United Nations tasked with the construction of new homes for people around the globe. The initial projects will begin in the Philippines with some seven and one-half million homes being built in the initial stages of construction. This does not mean that construction will be limited to homes however. Quite the contrary, construction will take on a great many variations to include commercial and industrial buildings, disaster mitigation, structures for disaster relief, deep-water construction, construction of ports and marinas, airports and even luxury homes and buildings and manufacturing plants of all natures and designs. GIDIFA is seeking to expand the amount of available construction technology, not to inhibit it.

With over seven billion people living around the world and some sixty percent of them living in poverty, there is not going to be any shortage of homes that need to be built. The number of housing projects that are going to be built is limited only by the number (and quality) of the vendors and contractors selected. Housing proposals should be just as diverse as the people they are being built for. GIDIFA is not seeking contractors who will build row after row of the same design of home for each and every individual. GIDIFA most notably seeks out those contractors and other innovative types who present numerous options and whose selected construction materials provide for the ability to build homes every bit as unique as the families that will live in them.
